Volunteers Ken Gonyo & Jean ‘JJ’ Romano have sighted an eagle flying around the Oslo Riverfront Conservation Area. Hopefully, the eagles will nest again on the south side of Oslo Road, as they have in the past — but not last year.
Bob Montanaro, pictured above in 2007, recently placed an eagle & roadkill post on his beautiful blog.
The photo above and the one below with Dr. Richard Baker and Bob’s dog Sam were taken in 2007 when they were ‘scouting’ the eagle nest at south ORCA for that year’s volunteer stewardship class. The eagles have returned to that nest every year except for 2014.
