Ken Gonyo (Class of 2012) poses with the Indian River County Board of Commissioners after receiving a proclamation – on behalf of the volunteers trained by the Florida Medical Entomology Laboratory and the Pelican Island Audubon Society – in support of national invasive species awareness week, February 22 – 28, 2015. Ken works to control invasive pest plants multiple times per week at the Oslo Riverfront Conservation Area and the Indian River Lagoon Greenway, two properties purchased by the citizens of Indian River County for preservation and public enjoyment.
