Visit Audubon House, 195 9th Street SE (Oslo Road), on Saturday, May 27, 2017 for a fun-filled morning of butterfly activities. Learn about our local butterflies then take part in the formal North American Butterfly Association count of the butterflies at the Oslo Riverfront Conservation Area (ORCA). Schedule:
- 9:00AM – Classroom tutorial on local butterflies
- 9:30AM to approximately 11:00AM – conduct butterfly count at ORCA
- 11:00AM to noon – refreshments and more!
Weather will be a factor so we will be updating www.PelicanIslandAudubon.org with any weather-related changes. Participants should bring mosquito repellent, sunscreen, and water. This count will aid in the study and conservation of butterfly populations at ORCA and in North America.
